The gift of merino wool

Gili Wool is a Norwegian/Latvian family business trying to spread the Norwegian know-how of merino wool thermal apparel.

In Norwegian rough weather people have learned to dressed so that their lives wouldn’t be dictated by the change of the weather. Merino wool has become a key in every household. The secret lies in wearing wool close to the skin in order to experience the full benefits of moisture wicking and temperature regulation. As opposed to having cotton or a synthetic layer next to your skin and putting thick layers on top. The merino sheep's hair is very thin, which makes it soft to the touch, not like the itchy wool sweaters we knew as children.

We at Gili Wool want to spread this 'know how' that has simplified our everyday life, and make your clothing serve you not the opposite. It is a joy to know that more and more people will be comfortable in their everyday hassles.

Gili Wool is working in cooperation with the Norwegian wool producer "Safa". All the wool is mulesing-free, and certified with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (Read more on oeko-tex.com).
